This is hilarious. I know this is edited to show only the mini's meals, but it seems like he's hogging all the food from his bigger siblings. Glad the eye situation cleared up. Maybe that situation was necessary so that the others would have a chance to eat.
Time and time again, I have seen the ornithological runts lose out on food delivery after food delivery from mom, especially when the chicks become just large enough, as well as aggressive enough, that mom can no longer even attempt to feed her chicks. It's much too chaotic, and much too dangerous, even for mom's well-being. By this time, mom swoops in, and before she can even drop her latest kill and fly away, she has been mobbed by her entire brood, barely escaping intact while some lucky (i.e. usually the fastest and the strongest, but not always. Sometimes, it truly is the reward of the lucky) chick downs the entire meal in a few gulps. During this stage of the chick's development, this is often the time you see the weak and the nimble lose out (i.e. the runt of the brood), often leading to their ultimate demise. Let me just say, what a refreshing joy it is to see this little chick in action. He (maybe a 'she,' but since I'm a guy) is so intelligent, so strategic; it's almost as if you can see him outwitting his siblings since he knows that out strengthening them is out of the question. When he needs to be fast, he's quick. When he needs to sit back, let things calm a bit, and then strike, he does. This little guy had victory after victory in this set of videos. Sure, he sometimes loses, but he never gives up, and some of those initial losses he ends up winning as he goes right back into survival mode. He may be the smallest chick now, but this guy is going to live a long and prosperous life. He's too smart not to. Keep on, little kestrel runt. You own this world.

兄弟でエサの奪い合いはするけれど、身体の大きな兄が小さな弟を突きまくるワシのようなことがないのが救いですね。
